Who's hosting

EuroMaintenance 2026 is organized by the Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. 

Operations and Maintenance Engineering at Luleå University of Technology is a pioneering, interdisciplinary field established in 2001. Over the past two decades, the division has built a strong international reputation for advancing condition monitoring, predictive technologies, and big data analytics to ensure reliable and sustainable performance in industry. 

Our research environment is supported by specialized facilities, including two e-maintenance labs and a condition-based maintenance lab, where new methods and tools are developed and tested together with partners from industry. We also launched the International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, published by Springer, as part of our commitment to sharing knowledge globally. 

With funding from the EU and Swedish research bodies such as VINNOVA and SSF, and through close collaborations with industries and universities worldwide, we continue to drive innovation and shape the future of smarter, more sustainable operations and maintenance. 

Calls

EuroMaintenance 2026 welcomes calls for papers and special sessions.  

Call for papers 

All submissions must be made in English via the official EasyChair link (available on the conference website). 

Accepted presentation formats: 

• Full paper 

• Poster presentation 

• Industrial presentation/demonstration 

• Special sessions (90 minutes, 4-5 papers minimum) 

For full papers

Prepare an Abstract (max 300 words), structured with objectives, methodology, results, and impact. 

1. Submit via EasyChair: register and upload your abstract. 

2. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. 

3. If accepted, submit a Full Paper (max 6 A4 pages) in DOCX and PDF using the template. 

4. At least one author must register and present at the conference. 

For poster presentations

Prepare an Abstract (max 300 words), structured with objectives, methodology, results, and impact. 

1. Submit via EasyChair: register and upload your abstract. 

2. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. 

3. If accepted, you will be notified to prepare the poster in a specified poster template. 

4. At least one author must register and present at the conference. 

For industrial presentations/ demonstrations

1. Title of the presentation 

2. Short description (max. 300 words) 

3. Name of presenter 

4. Your description will be reviewed by Scientific Committee 

For special sessions

Special Session Organizers are invited to design and chair a 90-minute session bringing together 4–5 high-quality papers (industrial case studies, research contributions, or both). 

This role provides the opportunity to: 

• Highlight strategic developments in your field 

• Showcase your professional network and leadership 

• Bridge industry practice with academic excellence

Submission Guidelines 

Each proposal should include: 

• Title and abstract of the session (max. 300 words) 

• Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the session organizer(s) 

• 4–5 proposed papers/presenters (with affiliations) 

• Intended target audience (industry, academia, or mixed) 

Review Process 

All submissions will be peer-reviewed (single-blind). 

Evaluation criteria include: 

• Originality and technical quality 

• Relevance and practical impact 

• Clarity and structure 

• Scientific or industrial contribution
